They are Bollywood's ultimate pair, the on-screen duo that has stolen a billion hearts. Now, director Karan Johar reunites Kajol and Shah Rukh Khan in a hotly anticipated new film, and talks to them about what it's like to have the Midas touch, in an interview for and international magazine. Excerpts:

KAJOL:-
I never would have expected it. I never predicted if for myself for sure-maybe somebody else, but not me. But, as they say, man proposes and God disposes.So, basically my fashion statement is careless, impatient and irritated.
SHAH RUKH KHAN:-
I think we are comfortable in our own skin. We have never tried to outdo each other. Some things work well in pairs- earnings, shoes, socks, pyjamas. I think we know that our individual scenes in a film are fantastic, but together we are unbeatable. she works because she enjoys it. She's honest, earnest, innocent, very loud, very scattered and very beautiful- all that I'm not. I'm boring, not natural, I'm a workaholic and always in control, I don't love people unconditionally like she does.

WEDDING BELLS FOR SPORTY SANIA MIRZA

Sania Mirza, ace Indian tennis player and a youth icon, is known for her bold and straightforward sense of style. She is a brand ambassador for a famous sports brand and carries her sporty yet spunky attitude in the way she dresses up.

Be it sports attire, or an Indian traditional sari, Sania knows how to keep the shutterbugs buzzing!

When Sania entered the international sports arena, her multiple ear piercings as well as nose piercing made everyone sit up and notice!

Her I-don't-give-a-damn attitude reflected when critics slashed her sense of style but she continued to be herself. Her blonde highlighted hair also attract avid attention often. Fond of colouring her hair, on can oftern notice the way she changes her hair colour and hairstyles. Another interesting aspect of Sania's style is her colourful and bright T-shirts with bold messages on them.

Often questioned by journalists on the same, Saina carries her attitude high! Often, she can be spotted modelling and attending fashion vents with enthusiasm.

Recently, the sporty girl, got engaged at a simple yet colourful ceremony in Hyderabad.
It was a match point with a difference, but tennis star Sania Mirza handled it with her usual aplomb. The 22-year-old was formally engaged to Hyderabadi businessman Mohammed Sohrab Mirza on July 10.

Sania was dressed in a dazzling ornate green ghagra-choli, designed by Delhi-based designer brothers Nikhil and Shantanu Mehra.

The Taj Krishna hotel turned into a fortress when Indian tennis's poster girl, got engaged.

Giving scores of journalists and TV crews the slip, Sania entered the hotel throgh the service entrance.

The excitement was palpable outside the Mirza's Jubilee Hills residence. A little after 4 p.m., Sania, clad in jeans and T-shirt, was driven out in a gleaming new green car bearing the lucky number 786.

LITTLE MISS SUNSHINE SONAM KAPOOR

There is something surreally unreal about Sonam Kapoor's beauty, intelligence, lineage, confidence and acting talent. Almost conversely, box office success eludes her but none doubt that, with a packaging like that , the lady should grow into on of the most unique actors of our times.

She hasn't had her wings clipped by the elusive dodge of box office success. On the contrary, she's flying high and flits past her failures with flair. Despit the fate of Delhi 6, she seems upbeat. If she's disappointed, she's not showing it. There's no chink in her optimism. She asserts. "Nothing's in yur hands except hard work and a really positive attitude. I never think of what could have been, would have been, should have been..."

As famed for being a fashionista as she is for her lineage, she concedes that two synergise entirely. "My sense of style has been cultivated largely by my other and my sister, although my dad has pretty good taste too! We all love shopping for each other, although the really good things are selected by my mum," she confesse.

She does just one film at a time and explains why; "I think it's unethical to be doing more than on e film because you can never give it your 100 per cent then. There's a lot of money riding on a film and it's wrong to be distractred and unable to give it your best."

She want more out of life than just marriage, Sonam stresses. "I want to meet the man of my freams, but I also to be a part of history. And I someday want to look after my parents and give back a little of the love and care they have lavished on me. I want to have the same friends all my life. And want my two best friends (Shaila and my sister Rhea) to always be my best friends. And if we don't get married, the three of us can go to France and grow old chatting all day long!"

ALLURING ASH

Aishwariya is making headlines these days as she is appearing on the big screen in the Middle East in her latest role in The Pink Panther 2 opposite Hollywood heavyweights Steve Martin, Jean Reno, Andy Gracia and Emily Mortimer.

Talking about her role in the Pink Panther 2 she said, "Well, being bad has never been so good."
"My first reaction, after coming to know that I would be in the film was a smile because that's the feeling the film evokes. What happened with Pink Panther is I got married that year in the middle of making movies. I was committed to two so I had to keep a couple of months off towards the end of the year so I squeezed in Pink Panther. My husband was like 'you have to do this. It's easy, it's a no-brainer'. It's not an intense acting piece, it's like a holiday, it's not exhausting at all and we've all grown up on it. You know your nieces and nephews are going to laugh and have a good time watching it and tomorrow, my kids will too."
"It was just a laugh and I was happy to be part of it. There was a great cast who all have serious careers and yet here they are being silly and having fun but it was tough running in stilettos. I wouldn't recommend it."
"I enjoy action. I did a lot of action in The Last Legion. Then I did two movies in India which had a lot of actions as well."
"In India, for a long time, it did happen where things would change for the leading lady post marriage. I'd heard a lot about it because people had been asking me. And I kept saying, my God, I don't know."
Aishwariya, without any doubt, definitely has the huge fan following. "It also for the place where I am going because things can get out of hand. Some people are just unpredictable and you never know how people are going to react, I do try my best to live a normal life but I can't just take a stroll in India, so when we come out of Indian we love to walk around."
Aishwariya is so glad about the fact that the audience of Indian cinema is growing. "Its fantastic people are becoming more aware."
Aishwariya started getting international atention after Devdas because it got a red carpet screening in Cannes. That's when the world's media were very generous and gave her a wonderful reception.
Her well wishers have been fantastic, they've put up so many websites so if anyone wanted to read up on her there was plenty to discover. These both contributed to a lot of awareness outside India.

BOLLYWOOD'S NEXT BIG THING (ASIN)

Asin deeply values her name meaning one without sin, or with no blemishes, firmly projecting this squeaky clean image with books being her favourite companion. She exudes an unraveled mystique that is quite intriguing. If trade pundits are to be believed, she is Bollywood's next big thing.
Asin Thottumkal is the princess of her own fairytale who needed no rescuing but who valiantly galloped into the Bollywood films with the surreal success of Ghajini. She is creating a name in India and abroad after taking on film roles and plays them with aplomb.
Asin has the correct face required to be an movie star. One knows it when on sees it. Her beauty is well known: Pale-skinned with perfectly symmertical features, her lustreous long black hair falling straight to her waist in a non-ironed way. She is sharp and meticulous. Her co-stars have praised her as an artist with no fear of heights, one who tries to find empathy with the character but is not afraid to be unsympathetic with it. "Look," the debutante says, "we're all narcissistic in the end, we all want people to have opinions of us, good or bad; we all want ot be the heroes of our own narrative. I leave that up to the audience and the rest is tragedy!"
Such is the case with her latest and highly-anticipated film Ghajini, which happens to be her Bollywood debut.
"The experience of working with Aamir was intense. I enjoyed that he's perfectionist because I'm exactly that way; you've got to give it 200 percent if not more. When I'm working, I don't even realize how many hours have passed". And where did Ghajini get it right? "There's no much yearning, and yearning is the life blood of a film". To be paired opposite Bollywood's stickler actor-director is nothing short of a dream come true. But truth to be told, the doe-eyed heroine is not new to soaring high. At 23, she's an experience actress, having been in 17movies down south. She received India Filmfare Awards twice-in 2003 and again in 2005 for her performances in the Telugu movie Amma Nanna O Tamila Ammayi and the original Ghajini (in Tamil), both of which were runway hits. And she's never had a film flop. Infact, it was Ghajini that would prove her shining glory, which would cement her Bollywood debut even as multi-award winner Aamir Khan admired her stellar peformance.
"I was sitting in a hotel room in Chennai reading a book when my cellphone rang. It was Aamir. He told me that my performance was the emotional heart of the movie. I was shocked and honoured that an actor of his caliber took the pains to call. We spoke generally for a few minutes, during which time he asked if I could speak Hindi. I told him I did". Asin went back to reading and didn't thing anyting of it but obviously Aamir took to her right away. The film became Tamil cinema's highest grosser in 2005, after whcih Aamir arranged for a privat screening of the film. Then came the memorable offer. " Aamir was very insistent that I play the role. He was a very important part of me getting the Hindi version of Ghajini. Now when I look back, it's all so surreal".
"That's God's grace, parents' blessings, well-wishers, luck! No matter how much you plan, nothing can guarantee a 100 percent success," She says.
